Hi
I have been trying to make my cards using the scraps I have accumulated.
However the amount of scraps never seems to get any smaller, so the other day I just sat at my craft table until inspiration came, and I am very pleased with the cards I made.
Here is the first card I would like to show you. The main paper was an off cut which was left from paper I had spritzed with red and yellow Brusho paints.
I die cut the pattern using a Tim Holtz Mixed Media die twice then backed it in black card.
I mounted this onto a cream 7 x 5 inch card blank, and embellished with a sentiment, part of a cream die cut (Sue Wilsons), and some flowers, leaves , hessian bits and beads.
I am very pleased with it.
I do have more to show you, which I will do in the next few posts
All for now

A floral birthday card
Hi
It will soon be my friend's birthday, so I would like to share with you a card I made for her.
It will soon be my friend's birthday, so I would like to share with you a card I made for her.
I used some paper from my stash for the background, and added a contrasting scalloped border, with matching die cut scalloped circle which I embossed.
I fussy cut a flower spray from the patterned paper and used this as an embellishment.
Although this is not my usual style, I know my friend will like it (hope so anyway)
All for now

Fathers day card - You are the greatest (golf themed)
Hello
I have a golf themed Father’s day card to show you today.
I created it simply with die cuts and a stamped sentiment
The golfer die is a Joanna Sheen signature die, and all the other dies are from Sizzix.

Birthday card for man or woman
Hi
Today's card is muted and plain, relying on the patterned paper and velum topper for decoration.
Today's card is muted and plain, relying on the patterned paper and velum topper for decoration.
The patterned paper is from my stash and I framed it with dark grey at the top and bottom.
The sentiment in a simple stamped one, and the white embellishment consists of two strips of white card die cut using my Spellbinders border dies.
The central image was stamped onto velum then sprinkled with white embossing powder. I coloured the back of the image with Promarkers and the resulting card is very classy - suitable for a man or woman.
