Hi
Firstly I would like to wish everyone a happy Christmas and healthy New year.
This is my last post for 2016 and I would like to share two thank you card ideas which may be useful for you.
Firstly, I had a scrap of card left after I had used the 'caught in crystal' technique. I simply sat it behind a die cut piece of white card and stamped the sentiment above it.
My second card was made by simply sprinkling green and turquoise Brusho crystals onto a card then spritzing it with water. The sentiment was die cut several times, glued together then glazed with glossy accents. This was then shadowed with a green layer before glueing onto the card.
Both cards were quick to do. Hope you like them
See you in 2017

Crazy Dog Birthday card
Hi
Today I want to share a birthday card made using the Tim Holtz Crazy Dog stamps and matching dies, by Stampers Anonymous and Sizzix.
I stamped the image with versa mark onto black card, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
I cut the collar and eyes in contrasting card using the dies which are made especially for this.
The 'happy' sentiment was cut from card onto which I had glued strips of different black and white paper.
I finished by stamping the birthday sentiment, then sat this onto an orange, then black mat before mounting it onto a card blank.
Hope you like this

Clean and simple Christmas card using the Tim Holtz tree line die
Hi
Today I want to share a simple card with you.
I started with a square base of blue and purple card which I had coloured with Brusho crystals.
Over this I sat the negative piece of white card left after I had cut out the tree line die by Tim Holtz.
As you can see I finished with a ribbon, stamped sentiment and a silver die-cut snow flake. This card was so easy to make, and would be ideal
If you wanted to make as batch cards.

Another Crazy Dog Christmas card
Hello
Here is another Christmas card using the Crazy Dog stamps by Tim Holtz, from Stampers Anonymous.
Here is another Christmas card using the Crazy Dog stamps by Tim Holtz, from Stampers Anonymous.
First I stamped the background with shades of silver, grey and green inks.
I did not have a suitable tree stamp, so used my new Tim Holtz die (tree line) to make my own stamp by cutting it out in funky foam, which I stuck to a wooden block.
After stamping the trees I mounted the background onto a green mat, then onto a white card base. I stamped the two dogs and hats, cut them out, then coloured them with Promarkers . I used colours to tone with the background.
I created the sentiment on my computer, then finished with a white bow.
I am pleased with the end result, hope you like it

Crazy Dog Christmas card
Hi
Today I want to share a Christmas card card I made using the Tim Holtz Crazy Dog stamps (Stampers Anonymous) and matching dies (Sizzix) .
I also used another Tim Holtz die, by Sizzix, called on the edge tree. I cut several layers for effect.
I won't go into details as the card speaks for itself, I hope it inspires you to try something similar.

Crazy Bird Christmas card
Hi
Today I want to share a Christmas card featuring a Crazy bird image by Tim Holtz.
I stamped the bird before cutting it out then colouring with Promarkers. I layered red, checked and gold card and sat the bird on the gold ring to look as if he is swinging.
I added a stamped sentiment and some foliage which was cut with a Sue Wilson die.
Quite simple yet effective don't you think?

Believe in the magic of Christmas -Crazy Bird style
Hello all
Today I want to show you one of my Christmas cards.
I stamped two of Tim Holtz's Crazy birds onto craft card, coloured them with Promarkers, then once I had stamped the background, I glued the birds onto it - keeping all the colours quite muted.
The hats were cut from a Marian die (gingerbread family) and I used fluffy stuff to give the impression of fur (from Joanna Sheen) on the hats.
These birds are so versatile I am considering buying the smaller versions which are now available. Perhaps I will put them on my Christmas list.
Hope you like it

Crazy Dogs by Tim Holtz, a birthday card for a special friend
Hi
My friend and I often craft together, each inspiring the other in different ways.
We both really like these new stamps by Stampers Anonymous so I felt it was appropriate to make this years card using them.
I decided to keep the colours quite muted, so chose light brown shades for the dogs, and for the mat and the shadows of the die cuts. All dies are by Sizzix .

I am pleased to tell you that she really loved the card (phew!).

Cute Crazy Dog Christmas card
Hello
I would like to show you a Christmas card which features the little scottie crazy dog stamp by Tim Holtz.
The dog was stamped then coloured with Promarkers before adding the hat.
I cut out this panel with a Crealies die, matted it onto mirror card and added to the card which I had covered with patterned paper and ribbon.
I stamped the hat and parcel using Tim Holtz Crazy things stamps then cut out and coloured before adding to the card.
I tried another colour combination which is below. I am not sure which one I prefer, what about you?

Crazy Dog card for my 'keep fit' friend
My friend is a keep fit addict - not something I can claim to be.
This is a card I made for her birthday using the Crazy Dog stamps by Tim Holtz from Stampers Anonymous.
The background is quite plain as you can see - it is simply dark blue card which has been die cut using a Tim Holtz Mixed Media die from Sizzix.
The dog was stamped and cut out before colouring with Promarkers, as were the balls and lead. I printed the sentiment on my computer. Hope she likes this, and I hope you do too.

Combining Crazy Dogs and Bird stamps again
Hi everyone
Here I would like to show you another card which uses both the bird and dog crazy stamps from Tim Holtz by Stampers Anonymous.
Here I would like to show you another card which uses both the bird and dog crazy stamps from Tim Holtz by Stampers Anonymous.
I created the background using distress inks and randomly stamping with foliage and rain drops.
Then , as I did in my last post, stamped the bird onto shrink plastic, coloured it in before shrinking.
I think this gives a bird which is just the right size to sit on the dog's head.

Combining Crazy Dogs and Crazy Birds - A belated Birthday Card
Hi
As I have both the Crazy Dog stamps and Crazy Bird stamps, by Stampers Anonymous, I was looking for a way I could combine them and here is what I came up with.
I created the background with Brusho crystals, I printed the sentiment on my computer and the branches are from a die set by Sue Wilson.
I stamped the doggy image, then cut it out and coloured it with Promarkers. The bird was stamped onto shrink plastic then cut out and coloured with Promarkers before shrinking with a heat gun.
I am happy with the result, hope it gives you some ideas.

A golf themed card for my husband
Hi
It will soon be my husband’s birthday.
He plays golf often so I thought I would make him a card using the golf die I have from Joanna Sheen :
I wanted a different colour scheme, so chose purple and navy, which I used for the tree, background, golfer and the grass (the grass and the tree were cut from Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies)
Can you spot the little crazy dog which I stamped onto shrink plastic and coloured before shrinking it.

Crazy Bird Halloween card

I have neglected these cute stamps from Stampers Anonymous because I have been using the new Crazy Dog stamps recently.
So today I would like to share this Halloween card using the Crazy Bird stamps, Crazy Things stamps and Mixed Media dies, all designed by Tim Holtz.
You could easily use the Crazy Dogs, but it made a change to use the birds this time.

Crazy Dog stamped card version 2
Hi there
I am totally in love with these stamps by Stampers Anonymous .
I am not a dog lover usually but each of these dogs have quirky characters . (I think this is a bloodhound?).
I made a similar card to this a few weeks ago and wanted to try a different colour so here is another version for you (perhaps a little bit more feminine).
I stamped the dog, then cut him out before colouring with Promarkers. The hat is from Stampers Anonymous Crazy things, by Tim Holtz, as are the baloons.
The background was from my stash, I distressed the edges and used one of Tim's dies for detail (Mixed Media).
Hope you like this, I would love to hear from you.

Crazy Dog stamps (dashund) - 'have a dog gone good birthday' card
Hello
Here is another card using the Crazy Dog stamps by Tim Holtz from Stampers Anonymous.
I have recently shown you cards in very bright colours, so this subtle colouring is different for me and it would be ideal for a masculine birthday card.
I used craft card as a background and overlayed this with printed card into which I cut a Tim Holtz Mixed Media die, them distressed the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.
I stamped the image, then cut it out and coloured it with Promarkers before adding it to the card on foam pads.
I used Tim Holtz crazy things stamps to stamp the balloons, again colouring with Promarkers, before adding these on foam pads with thread attached to look as if the dog is holding them.
I finished by coating the balloons, dog nose and eyes with glossy accents.
Hope you like this and it inspires you to try a similar card

Crazy Dog stamps by Tim Holtz, another birthday card for you
Hello
Just a short post today, to show you a card using these stamps.

I made this with Brusho crystals which I had diluted and made into a spray which I spritzed onto the card.
Hope you like these

Sizzix/Tim Holtz Mixed Media dies caught in crystal
Hello again
I experimented with the caught in crystal technique recently, and this is the result
I used liquid floor polish instead of crystal lacquer (which Sue Wilson uses).
After coating an acetate sheet with the Polish, I sprinkled grey glitter into it, then added Brusho crystals before embedding tissue into this and letting it dry overnight.
Making the card was quite simple, by using Tim's media dies to cut out the overlay, then shading the outer edges with a toning distress ink.
I assembled the card using foam squares for dimension, adding a bow and beads and a 'Happy Birthday' phrase which consists of several layers of die cuts and finished with a coating of glossy accents.
Great

Stampers Anonymous - Crazy Dogs welcome home card
Hi everyone
I have been patiently waiting for the new Stampers Anonymous, Tim Holtz stamps called Crazy Dogs.
They were delivered this morning, so I couldn't wait to try them.
I have enjoyed the Crazy Birds stamps so much, and these new stamps are just as good - I am sure they will be used a lot.
I needed to make a welcome home card for friends who have been on an extended holiday for the last 7 weeks, so I knew exactly what I was going to do for my first card.
I stamped, and fussy cut the dog, feeding bowl and bone before colouring them with Promarkers.
I even had the card base made, so all I had to do was glue the images on, add a shadow with grey Promarker, then add a sentiment with foam pads.
I finished by adding glassy accents to the eyes and medal, and 'voila'.
Hope you like this

Sit long talk much, a pretty card
Hi
I have this stamp and matching die which I won in a competition run by Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine.
The orange frame was die cut using a die from the same prize package and the white topper was cut using a Crealies die.
I stamped then coloured the tea cups, then cut them out with the matching die, and used foam pads to stick it to the card.
I like the bold colour and contrasts between orange and black, hope you do

Card made with my scraps
Hello again

It has been good exercise for me, and now my box is ready to be filled up again. I have made a pact with myself to do this more often in future😉.

I created the spotty paper some time ago, using a programme on my laptop.
The sentiment was left over from a batch I had previously printed out.
And the Crazy birds and balloons were left over from a batch I made some time ago. All were images which I stamped onto shrink plastic, then once shrunk they made cute little embellishments.
Well, I have started my Christmas cards, and will share these with you soon. It's never too early!

Yet more cards made from my scraps
Hello
I have been rummaging through my scraps again, and put together this card for you,
Again, the colour is purple, and I used the Tim Holtz Mixed Media die to cut out the Main Part, then used a Sweet Dixi die for the scalloped border, and the central circular embellishment was made with a Sue Wilson die.
I finished with a band stamped with a sentiment and some beads along the bottom
I am happy with the finished card, I hope you like it also. It is also satisfying to know it was made using scraps I may have thrown away.

More inspiration from my 'bit box'
Hi
I have been trying to make my cards using the scraps I have accumulated.
However the amount of scraps never seems to get any smaller, so the other day I just sat at my craft table until inspiration came, and I am very pleased with the cards I made.
Here is the first card I would like to show you. The main paper was an off cut which was left from paper I had spritzed with red and yellow Brusho paints.
I die cut the pattern using a Tim Holtz Mixed Media die twice then backed it in black card.
I mounted this onto a cream 7 x 5 inch card blank, and embellished with a sentiment, part of a cream die cut (Sue Wilsons), and some flowers, leaves , hessian bits and beads.
I am very pleased with it.
I do have more to show you, which I will do in the next few posts

The central image was stamped onto velum then sprinkled with white embossing powder. I coloured the back of the image with Promarkers and the resulting card is very classy - suitable for a man or woman.

Card inspiration from my 'bit box', part 2
Hi
Today I want to share another card which I made from my left over bits.
I had cut out a Sizzex mixed media die which I had stenciled through, so I simply used this and beneath it I added a white border cut from a Spellbinders border die which I had left over.
I wrapped a strip of lilac card around the die cuts, then mounted onto purple card, then onto a card front.
I finished with a butterfly and sentiment.
Simple as that

Card inspiration from my 'bit box'
Hi
Like many of you, I am sure, I have a box full of bits of card left over from my card making.
I considered throwing them away, then decided to set myself a challenge to make one or two cards using nothing (well nearly ) else.
This first card was made with some pieces of card which I had coloured with Brusho paints - one piece I had spritzed with a solution of Brusho, and the second was made by scattering Brusho crystals over card then spritzing with water.
I cut the card using a Sweet Dixi die, then tied complimentary ribbon around it and finished with a sentiment.
I like this and am so glad I didn't throw the bits away.

Another birthday card using Sizzix mixed media dies
This card is another version of the card I shared with you in my last post
Whilst the previous card was mainly black and white, I wanted to make one using another colour, and this is the result.
I am not sure which I prefer. What do you think?

A special birthday card using Sizzix mixed media dies
Hello
I needed to make a special card for my daughter's birthday.
Here it is:
The card measures 8.25 inches square. This is a little bigger than I usually make but it was governed by the size of the die I used.
I cut the sizzix mixed media die four times, turning each time to form a square.
I mounted this onto black and white patterned card, which I sat onto a card base.
The die left an irregular central shape which I covered with a simple circle.
On top of the circle I sat two black die cuts made using a Sue Wilson die, then finished with a stamped sentiment, bow, die cut flourish and a flower
Hope you like it

A card using Sizzix mixed media dies
Hello
I wanted to experiment with my new Sizzix mixed media dies and make a card to thank a friend who has been very helpful. This is what I came up with.
This is how I made it :
I spritzed white card with blue and purple ink.
I cut one of the mixed media dies twice in white card - as above.
Then glued the die cut card onto the spritzed card.
I cut a frame using two Crealies stitched rectangle dies.
Then sat the frame over the die cut and spritzed layers.
After wrapping ribbon around this, I glued the whole thing onto a 7 by 5 card base.
I completed the card with fall-out pieces from the same mixed media die which I had cut in complimentary colours.
You could use this card for a variety of occasions, by simply adding an appropriate sentiment.
All for now

A birthday card for my sister
Hi All
It will soon be my sister's birthday.
Although I do not use the colour green very often I have used it for her card because it is her favourite colour.
It will soon be my sister's birthday.
Although I do not use the colour green very often I have used it for her card because it is her favourite colour.
I used some pretty paper from my stash which I matted onto green mirri card.
As the paper is so detailed I felt it did not need too much in the way of embellishments, so I simply added two flowers which I made using Sue Wilson's cornflower die.
Then I used my Sizzix alphabet dies to cut out the word sister three times in white card, and then once in a variety of patterned papers, before glueing hem together for dimension. I finished with a few sequins and glazed the letters with glossy accents.
Hope you (and my sister) like this

Quilt for a new baby
Hello
Today I would like to show you something a little different - a quilt I made for our new grandaughter.
The quilt is made of twenty separate squares which I made using the crazy quilting technique. I embellished each square with machine embroidery.
The squares were randomly joined together, backed with fleece, then anchored with tiny buttons. I bound it with a complimentary colour.
I am very pleased with the finished quilt, hope you do too.

Hello
This card was very quick to make
This card was very quick to make
I used my Tim Holtz Mixed Media die, from Sizzix, to cut a pattern into the card top, exposing a complimentary patterned paper.
I created the topper using Altnew layering stamps and embellished with a butterfly which I coloured with Promarkers then dipped into UTEE to give it shine
Hope you like it

A birthday card for a two year old
Very soon it will be my granddaughter's second birthday.
How time flies, it seems like she only arrived yesterday!
This is the card I made for her
I used some patterned paper on a pink card base, then used a Crazy bird image, which I coloured with Promarkers and added as a slider.
I am happy with it - I hope it will amuse her.

A simple Anniversary card
Hello
My next card is an anniversary card which I made using a variety of Sizzix dies, from Tim Holtz, and cream and kraft card.
I do like the combination of kraft and cream card, and this was so easy because the dies did all the work for me - simple

Clean and simple floral card with subtle colouring
Hello
I can't seem to decide if I prefer a clean and simple style of card (CAS) or one that is more complex. This post features one of the CAS types which is very quick to make - I am really happy with this.
The stamp is called magnolia and is from Chocolate Baroque . I stamped the image with grey ink and simply coloured it with a pale pink Promarker. Then I pulled the colour into the paler areas with a blender pen.
I also experimented with a darker shade of pink -- and now I can't decide which I prefer.
