Card using Tim Holtz Mixed Media die and Altnew stamps

Hello

This card was very quick to make

I used my Tim Holtz Mixed Media die, from Sizzix, to cut a pattern into the card top, exposing a complimentary patterned paper.
I created the topper using Altnew layering stamps and embellished with a butterfly which I coloured with Promarkers then dipped into UTEE to give it shine

Hope you like it

A birthday card for a two year old

Very soon it will be my  granddaughter's second birthday.
How time flies, it seems like she only arrived yesterday!
This is the card I made for her

I used some patterned paper on a pink card base, then used a Crazy bird image, which I coloured with Promarkers and added as a slider.
I am happy with it -  I hope it will amuse her.

A simple Anniversary card

Hello
My next card is an anniversary card which I made using a variety of Sizzix dies, from Tim Holtz, and cream and kraft card.

I do like the combination of kraft and cream card, and this was so easy because the dies did all the work for me - simple

Clean and simple floral card with subtle colouring

Hello

I can't seem to decide if I prefer a clean and simple style of card (CAS) or one that is more complex.  This post features one of the CAS types which is very quick to make - I am really happy with this.

The stamp is called magnolia and is from Chocolate Baroque .  I stamped the image with grey ink and simply coloured it with a pale pink Promarker.  Then I pulled the colour into the paler areas with a blender pen.

I also experimented with a darker shade of pink -- and now I can't decide which I prefer.

Hope you like these, which is your favourite?

A 21st birthday card

Hello

I was asked to make a 21st card for a friend's son, so this is what I came up with:-

I knew I wanted to use a black and white colour scheme, with a pop of bright colour for this modern young man.
I had just taken delivery of some new dies which I just had to use, - they are both sets of Sizzix thinlit dies by Tim Holtz, called mixed media and scribbles and splat.
The balloon die was a freebie which came with a magazine, and I have found it very useful.

70th birthday card for a man

Hello

Another age related card today. I made it a while ago for a friend's 70th birthday.

I find it difficult to make male cards, but I am very pleased with this.

I stamped random stamps to make the background, then stamped the figure, cut him out, and paper pieced him together with a jacket cut from shinny black card.

The guitar was a copyright free image from the Internet which I printed onto card and covered in glossy accents, I also made his shoes shiny with with glossy accents as well.

The cogs were from a Spellbinders set and cut from gold mirri and black art scraperboard which I  sanded back to give an industrial look.

Hope you like it

A 50th birthday card

Hello
Today I would like to share with you a card which I made for my friend's 50th birthday.

I used I die (champagne glass) which recently came with a magazine, and a new Spellbinder's die in their Amazing Paper Grace range -called Cascading Grace designed by Becca Feeken.  You should check out her blog - it is amazing.

Well I am quite pleased with the card,  but feel I should have reigned myself in, and not put on so many embellishments!!
However I am pleased with the champagne glasses which I cut from acetate, coloured the stems with a silver Promarker, then coated the back with glitter glue so that it looked like a bubbly drink.
I completed with flowers and jewels.

Hope you like it
