My First Post
18th birthday card
- I used cream card to randomly stamp and distress the background then mounted it onto a brown mat, then onto an 8" by 8" card.
- I stamped the figure then cut it out, coloured it with promarkers, and attached it to the card with mounting foam.
- I cut some cogs from a set of Spellbinders dies from engraving art card, sanded them to reveal a copper core and attached these with mounting foam also. I did the same with the car which I cut with a Movers and Shapers die.
- I finished with a sentiment on craft card.
I hope you like it
This was a really easy card to make and would be suitable for a birthday or holiday.
I stamped the main image in black ink using a set of stamps from Darkroom door London set 1.
The bus was from the same stamp set and would have looked good in the foreground, but I wanted it to be part of the scene so I stamped the bus onto shrink plastic then shrank it before attaching it to the card.
Then I matted the art onto a black mat before sticking it to the card and adding red, white and blue bakers twine.
I was happy with the result.
Bye for now
